Intakes & general admissions process

Ireland usually has two intakes. All institutions in Ireland offer September intakes. Intakes may vary by institution and often by course. Some institutions offer February intakes such as IT Carlow, DCU, TU Dublin, and Griffith College. Griffith College offers February intakes for most of its programs across its three campuses.

Before submitting their application, students must have the following documents to ensure that they do not have to wait a long time for their application to be reviewed.

Tuition fees & payments

Tuition fees in Ireland may vary by institution and course. The list below provides a general idea of ​​the expected deposit amount.

• Undergraduate programtuition fee ranges between €9,850 to €25,500 annually.
• Postgraduate master’s degreetuition fee ranges between €9,500 to €34,500 annually.
• Doctoral degreetuition fees are between €9,500 to €34,500 annually.

 Before applying for a student visa, at least 60% of the tuition should be paid. Recommended payment methods are via TransferMate or FlyWire as it will take three to five business days to process a refund request from a student.

If a student uses a bank transfer to pay their tuition but then requests a refund, they must wait at least eight weeks to do so. The Irish government’s anti-money laundering laws require a thorough investigation of funds moving into and out of any accounts.  As it is Irish legislation, the universities have no authority over it.
